Dr. Ali Tariq (Maaz)
Dr Ali Tariq (Maaz) is a registered Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist based in South Fremantle, Western Australia.
After foundational training in Los Angeles, Maaz has spent more than two decades working in holistic and integrative care. His approach brings together anatomy-informed orthopaedic acupuncture and the traditional principles of Chinese medicine.
Alongside clinical practice, Maaz teaches functional anatomy and orthopaedic principles in professional education, leads advanced training and speaks internationally. He is also a long-time Qi Gong practitioner and instructor.
A considered, individual approach
Each appointment begins with a conversation about your health history, priorities and goals. Maaz explains the options that may be appropriate within his practice and answers your questions. Where relevant, he may discuss traditional Chinese medicine assessment methods. You decide whether to proceed, and consent is sought before treatment.
